A wedding at Castell de Tous

They married in the morning at the town hall in Sant Quintí de Mediona, family and friends packed inside, and stepped out into the street under a shower of petals. From there everyone drove up to Castell de Tous.

The castle has a garden that swallows you whole: tall pines, old stone and open country as far as you can see. That is where the drinks were served, and where we stayed shooting while sixty guests refused to stand still.

They danced their way into dinner, and dinner ran full of games and presents between courses. Then a long party. This was one of our first weddings and they trusted us completely — and out of that trust came a friendship.
