Anna and Edu

Cal Pubill de Ciuret is one of the great farmhouses of the Catalan mountains: 1,150 metres up, in the middle of the transversal range where Osona, the Ripollès and the Garrotxa meet. The drive is long from home and worth every minute — green fields as far as you look, and at dusk a light that does not exist down below. When the summer heat here becomes unbearable, up there you can breathe.

On this wedding we made the film; the photography was David Lecegui's, who is very good and easy to work alongside: each of us on our own job, never in each other's way. The images on this page are frames from the film.

The ceremony was outside, with the valley open behind it. Guests walked in holding a beer, which in that heat was welcome. Edu arrived on his bicycle, which is his treasure. And the rings were carried in by the dogs, wandering between the chairs.

The photograph of the farmhouse from above is a drone shot. We bring one to almost every wedding: it weighs under 249 grams, so it can fly almost anywhere, and in a place like this it is the only way to show where you actually are.
